If you want to stay in the mountains, you can go on outings as far as Chamonix Mont-Blanc (Mer de Glace, Aiguille du Midi), St Gervais or Sixt Fer à Cheval, with its nature reserve. When summer starts, a stroll or a drive on the shores of the Geneva or Annecy lakes is a “must”. There are treasures of the local heritage (the old town in Annecy, the village of Yvoire, the beautiful architecture of the spa buildings in Thonon and Evian) which are all cultural features worth visiting. And don’t hesitate to cross the frontier for a day in Geneva and its surroundings. And that is by no means all the places of interest!
